Tracé au XVIIIe siècle par l'intendant Rouillé d'Orfeuil, le Cours d'Ormesson forme une longue promenade rectiligne plantée de marronniers, située dans le prolongement des espaces paysagers des Jards et de la préfecture de la Marne.
